Sichuan's Inter-provincial Passenger Transport Routes Generally Resumed

As of March 22, except for the routes to Hubei and Beijing, Sichuan's inter-provincial passenger transport routes have been generally resumed, and the "Spring Action" aimed to send migrant workers back to work safely has been replaced by normal transportation from 0:00 on March 21.

Affected by the COVID-19 outbreak, Sichuan has suspended its long-distance passenger transport routes to Wuhan in late January, and gradually suspended all inter-provincial passenger transport routes. With the alleviation of the epidemic situation, in order to promote the resumption of work and production, Sichuan took the lead in launching the "Spring Action" aimed to send migrant workers back to work safely in early February, and sent migrant workers to their posts safe and orderly through unified organization and chartered vehicles.

Data shows that as of March 20, Sichuan has organized 28,897 chartered vehicles in the "Spring Action", and sent over 552,000 migrant workers back to their posts in the 250 prefecture-level cities nationwide in all the provinces except Hong Kong, Macao and Taiwan. "We sent over 10,000 migrant workers back to their posts on average every day", the relevant head of the Road Transport Administration of the Department of Transportation of Sichuan Province said, as the resumption rate of Sichuan's trans-provincial flow of labor power has reached 96.8%, the large-scale transportation aimed to sent migrant workers back to posts has basically come to an end, and the inter-provincial passenger transport routes have been successively resumed, turning the "Spring Action" into normal transportation from 0:00 on March 21.

As of March 22, except that the road passenger transportation in Aba and Ganzi has been partially resumed, the road passenger transportation in 19 other cities (autonomous prefectures) in Sichuan has been fully resumed; except Daofu County in Ganzi, 182 other counties (county-level cities and districts) in Sichuan have resumed inter-provincial, inter-city, inter-county and inner-county passenger transport routes and taxi transport.
